Washington report by Mr. Hasan Çelebican
Chairman of the Construction Committee
TABA-AmCham Construction Committee participated in the Washington Summit Meeting with two members of TABA-AmCham, Mr. Hasan Çelebican and Mr. Ufuk Akalin.
The above delegates met Mr. Roy Unger, who is the Assistant Chairman of the Associated Builders and Contractors ( ABC ) which is the largest association of its kind with 30.000 members, composed of the middle sized contractors.
The meeting lasted about one hour and the followings were agreed upon.
1. Association will inform their members when there is an opportunity to cooperate with Turkish Companies.
2. Turkish Contractors, who want Joint Ventures or Consortium with the American ones, will be informed to the association.
3. Potential cooperation areas were determined as Eastern Europe Countries, Turkey and Central Asian Countries of Turkic origin.
4. Surveys will be conducted to facilitate procedures for Turkish Contractors who wish business in US.
5. Related regulations will be submitted to TABA-AmCham.
6. Those who are interested may apply to TABA-AmCham.
